The ceramist
Nelise Ometto presents in this show her experience and years
of success of her studio, blending ceramic and painting on
canvas, using mixed media.
Inspired by Klint, Nelise
Ometto has reinvented the patchwork of the Austrian painter,
creating new shade effects in a subtil earth-colored painters
palette, with clay and acrylic ink.
But what does Nelise
want to tell us with these images of a surprisingly unusual
universe? Only to report
her own history with clay that made her ceramist, with fields
that outlined an infinite horizon and colorful skies of her
memories. Tree reflections, tree trunks and leaves designed
the nature of her inner landscape.

The result
of this work is a vision of tree crowns and vitórias-régias*
which are transformed into mandalas that burst into ceramic
fragments and drawings represented by collage inspired by
an imaginary Gustav Klint of the Tropics.
Nelise Ometto has created
her own universe that delights us not only with its formal
simplicity but also with its complex creation, exposing in
a chromatic way the emotions of an artist aware of her own
art.
